Summer News

Not much like summer at the moment but we’ll get there,hope you are all getting used to the new format,
works for us.
A few things to mention we are yet again trying out some new bands this year Tom Sawyer

, the Rush tribute, Deft Leppard

and 101% Pantera

among them. We also had the Bob Marley one back in Feb who were
absolutely awesome, got them back in October and hopefully we will have more of you in for it worth
every penny!
Also great news for us, we have the excellent Wishbone Ash back this year Wed 8th October, tickets
will be on sale 1st August and will be £16 each fabulous eh??
As always we are running the band competition end of July and all through August apart from a
special treat on August 23rd when Dirty DC
(www.dirtydc.com)
will be here for there 10th Anniversary Special gig and we are privileged to have them do it here with us.

Latest update on us closing, looks like we will be able to see this year out at least I know
it’s sad but we would say make the most of it while you can I’ve always said there is nowhere
like the Standard and we will all miss it when it’s gone so come and enjoy it as much as you
can while it’s still here

The Standard Music Venue a conference venue? Well that's what we thought but recently
we held a conference/presentation for a local business and it was a great success.
If you're interested, we are adaptable
Anyone big enough for a party at the Standard? We supply staff, security, atmosphere.
You supply the people & hire fees which start from £150. Available Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed

It's who you know
We are trying to book original bands that have been there and done it. Do you know
anyone, any band, or live next door to Eric Clapton? We have found that musicians
want to play, anytime and anywhere. The problem is the managers and agents who
won't let them appear anywhere as distant as E17!
